Job summary

RBC Capital Markets in London is seeking a Senior Analyst/Associate to join its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure team. You will work on M&A, financing, and infrastructure transactions, gaining exposure to complex deal structures and institutional clients.

You will collaborate with experienced advisors, lead or support workstreams, and mentor junior staff while driving team growth and delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of M&A advisory experience in investment banking, infra advisory, or related services.
• Experience advising infrastructure and utilities sector transactions (power, district heating, renewables).
• Strong understanding of valuation approaches used in utilities/renewables and solid infrastructure modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support key workstreams on mandated M&A, refinancing, and infrastructure transactions from origination through close.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, and operational advisors; manage information requests and due diligence.
• Drive valuation analyses and DCF modelling; validate assumptions for credibility with clients and investors.
• Participate in pitch meetings, client calls, and negotiations; contribute to relationship-building efforts.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models for transaction analysis, valuation, and scenarios.
• Mentor and train Analysts on technical skills, deal processes, and client management.
• Lead by example through work quality, responsiveness, and professionalism.
• Contribute to team efficiency through process improvements and knowledge-sharing.
• Support team on ad-hoc projects and cross-deal initiatives.
