Job summary

RINA seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a growing Power Systems Consulting team, delivering Substation Design and Power Systems Studies for major clients. You will guide technical direction and manage a portfolio spanning 11 kV to 400 kV, with a focus on grid integration and protection studies.

The role blends technical leadership with people management across UK offices, offering hybrid working and some travel to Manchester for the core team based there.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with an Electrical Engineering background.
• At least 10 years’ Power Systems Engineering domain experience (UK exposure).
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience leading 5–20 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Power Systems Engineering team (circa 10 engineers).
• Set objectives and mentor team members for career development.
• Manage resources, execution plans and project schedules for UK/international projects.
• Act as Technical Lead for Substation Design from 11–400 kV and review designs.
