Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Power System Planning Engineer in Belfast. You will analyse how the transmission grid evolves to meet future demands and support NI’s low-carbon transition.

The role involves carrying out power system studies, developing reinforcement options, customer connection assessments, and producing clear technical reports, with hybrid working and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years engineering or industry experience.
• Strong interest in supporting the transition to a net-zero power system.
• Understanding of power system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out power system studies / analysis.
• Develop and assess reinforcement and connection options for the grid.
• Customer connection assessments.
• Engage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce clear, high-quality technical reports.
