Job summary

NAES Corporation in Peterborough, UK, seeks an Operations Technician to operate and monitor two flexible generating sites powered by GE Frame 9E turbines and Wärtsilä 34SG engines. You will work in a rotating shift team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance and respond to peak demand.

Qualifications

• Experience operating power generation facilities or industrial processes is preferred.
• Engineering, operations, or technical qualification, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
• Understanding of safety, procedures, and compliant operations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the power station in line with procedures and permits.
• Start-up, shutdown, monitoring, and normal operation of units.
• Carry out routine inspections to maximise availability and performance.
• Diagnose plant faults and maintain safety for personnel and processes.
• Maintain records, logs, and procedures; support maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure efficient operation.
