Job summary

NAES United Kingdom is seeking an Operations Technician to support the Peterborough peaking facilities. You will operate and monitor two flexible generating sites, including GE Frame 9E turbines and Wärtsilä engines, on a rotating shift to ensure safe, reliable power supply and peak-demand response.

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will perform startup/shutdown, routine inspections, fault diagnostics, and maintain operational records while liaising with maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience operating power generation facilities or other industrial process plants preferred.
• Understanding of power station operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate power station in compliance with procedures.
• Perform startup/shutdown and monitoring across units.
• Record and report events and support maintenance activities.
• Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Travel to other sites as needed.
