Job summary

Prysmian is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead System Design, Installation Design and Cable Accessories across UK transmission projects, driving technical leadership, governance and compliance with customer specifications and Prysmian procedures.

You will manage design teams, plan resources, contribute to tenders, coordinate with customers, consultants, and regulators, and champion continuous improvement, safety and quality across the engineering functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering subject with professional membership.
• Experience in engineering background, knowledge of cable systems preferred.
• Computer literate with AutoCAD, databases and spreadsheets.
• Strong people management competencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop System Design, Installation Design and Cable Accessories engineering functions.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for transmission projects.
• Act as technical authority for cable system design and installations.
• Lead engineering resource planning and competency development.
• Support tendering and business development with technical input.
• Manage interfaces with customers, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Prysmian quality, CDM and safety standards.
