Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking a Power Systems Engineer with a strong focus on the design and modelling of power electronics systems. You will design and develop advanced power electronic circuits and systems, using MATLAB, Simulink, and LTSpice for modelling, analysis, and simulation across Marine, Aerospace and Defence applications, including motor drives, inverters, converters, and power management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on power electronics.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and modelling of power electronic systems.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and LTSpice for modelling and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power electronic circuits, including DC-DC converters, inverters and motor drives.
  • Create system-level simulations to predict behaviour under various operating conditions.
  • Develop digital control models focusing on feedback loops, stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with test engineers to validate design performance through hardware testing.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation and design justifications.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost reductions.
