Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to design and model advanced power electronic systems for marine, aerospace, and defence applications. You will work on DC-DC converters, inverters, motor drives, and power management concepts from concept to verification.

The role requires strong MATLAB/Simulink and LTspice skills, plus hands-on experience with MOSFETs/IGBTs and digital control techniques. Collaborative, multidisciplinary teams will drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience designing power electronic systems including converters/inverters/motor drives.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and LTspice for modelling and simulation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, inverters and motor drives.
Model and simulate power electronics using MATLAB, Simulink and LTspice.
Develop digital control strategies to optimise performance, stability and efficiency.
Create system-level simulations to evaluate transient and steady-state behaviour.
Support verification through testing and correlation of simulations with hardware.
