Job summary

The AA is seeking a Power BI Developer in Basingstoke (hybrid, 3 days in the office) to turn complex data into actionable insights for Roadside Operations. You will build scalable dashboards and engage stakeholders to ensure data meets business needs.

You will collaborate with Data Engineering and the wider Data team to govern data, optimise reporting pipelines and promote self‑service analytics across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Power BI expertise with scalable solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to refine requirements and translate needs.
• Ability to communicate data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong SQL and data modelling, data warehousing and BI architecture; Databricks experience valuable.
• Experience creating robust reporting solutions with automation and governance.
• Collaborative approach across Data, Engineering and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Partner with stakeholders to interrogate requirements and translate needs into BI solutions.
• Turn data into meaningful insight using visualization and storytelling to inform decisions.
• Develop and optimize reporting pipelines, including DAX, Power Query and performance tuning.
• Work with Data Engineering to ensure data is structured and accessible for self‑service analytics.
• Champion Power BI practices, governance, usability and stakeholder adoption.
