Job summary

Pet Drugs Online, part of IVC Evidensia, is hiring a BI Developer to transform data into actionable insights and support decision-making across the business. You will build dashboards in Power BI, optimize data models, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust reporting solutions on a hybrid work arrangement with three days on-site in Keynsham.

You will also help rebuild data warehousing, maintain data pipelines, and contribute to BI governance and best practices to ensure scalable

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Power BI and Power BI Service, including dataflows, apps, and gateway management.
• Proven experience designing and optimising data models within Power BI.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex query writing, optimisation, and working with large datasets.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modelling, and data transformation.
• Experience working with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar technologies.
• Experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions, from requirements gathering through to deployment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing engaging dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Transforming complex data into clear, meaningful insights that support business performance.
• Writing and optimising SQL queries, views, and datasets to underpin reporting solutions.
• Building and maintaining reliable data pipelines to support efficient data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborating with data owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshooting issues across the data lifecycle, from source systems and ETL processes through to front-end reporting.
• Monitoring and improving report, dataset, and query performance.
• Supporting BI governance, documentation, and best practices to ensure a scalable and reliable reporting environment.
• Contributing to the ongoing evolution of our data and analytics capabilities.
