Job summary

IT Works Health LTD seeks a BI Developer to advance the Trust's BI transformation. The role covers information, performance, BI and data quality within a hybrid model (2 days on site, 3 days remote).

You will develop databases and reporting systems, manage SQL/Power BI life cycles, and support data governance and training across BIS and clinical teams. The position requires strong SQL/Power BI skills, data warehousing knowledge and the ability to explain complex data to non-technical staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL/Power BI development and reporting
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of data governance, quality and compliance processes
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Responsibilities

• Develop new database and reporting systems to support the BI Transformation Programme.
• Manage full lifecycle of system and report development in SQL/Power BI, incl. access control and data integrity.
• Administer and develop the team's SQL data warehouse as a central data repository.
• Provide expert support to BIS and report to Operational Managers & Leads.
• Understand Data Warehouse implications for operations and BI reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of PAS SystmOne and other corporate information systems and data interpretation.
• Identify data sources, validate, collate and analyze information from multiple sources.
• Facilitate staff training on information management and data workflows.
• Support BI Service with technical queries and improve SMART SSRS reports.
• Engage with staff to understand information needs and design reports and dashboards.
• Understand BI needs of clinical teams and train others to use reporting solutions.
• Influence others to complete work on time and meet deadlines.
• Review processes for continuous service improvements and implement changes.
• Participate in PDP training as required.
• Develop policies to ensure effective BI system use.
• Ensure BI is inclusive for users with adaptive technologies.
• Collaborate with BIS leadership to deliver data management and reporting framework.
• Document routine technical processes and procedures.
• Convey complex issues in plain English to non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to MIS/data warehouse development.
• Work with BIS and Digital Technology Services to implement changes.
• Demonstrate leadership across the BIS team.
