Job summary

Masstemps is recruiting an experienced Powder Coater for a manufacturing client in Kidderminster. You will prepare components, apply powder coatings, and ensure high-quality finishes while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of metal preparation and coating processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal components for powder coating, including cleaning, masking and surface preparation.
• Operate powder coating equipment safely and effectively.
• Apply powder coating to components in accordance with customer and production requirements.
• Ensure consistent coating thickness, coverage and finish.
• Inspect finished components for defects and carry out touch-ups or rework.
• Load and unload components from the coating line/racking system.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Follow health and PPE requirements.
• Work to production targets and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Report quality issues, equipment problems or material shortages to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with other production team members.
