Job summary

Gap Personnel in Gloucester is seeking a Powder Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team. Based in Gloucester, the role involves preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts to high quality standards while adhering to health and safety rules.

The position offers the possibility of a permanent role after a 12-week period and a competitive hourly pay rate of £16. You will work Monday–Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm and Friday 6:30am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in powder coating or painting in manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year on-the-job experience.
• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal components for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts.
• Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns safely and efficiently.
• Apply powder coatings to achieve required finish and thickness specifications.
• Monitor coating quality and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Carry out quality inspections of finished products.
• Maintain equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean and organised.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily targets.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials when required.
