Job summary

Pertemps Telford is recruiting for a full-time Powder Coater/Assembly Operative based in Lawley, near Telford. The role is temporary-to-permanent and split between coating components and assembly tasks in a compact production team. You will clean, mask, hang parts, coat, manage oven settings, and operate power tools including a Dremel and buffing wheel. Attention to detail, practical skills, and the ability to work safely with PPE are essential. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Practical skills relevant to manufacturing and coating tasks.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in finishing.
• Good manual dexterity for small component work.
• Clear written and verbal communication within a small team.
• Willingness to follow safety systems and PPE protocols.
• Flexibility to assist with varied tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coat components by cleaning, masking, hanging and applying finishes.
• Operate oven controls and maintain booth equipment during colour changes.
• Pick stock using works orders and use power tools for assembly.
• Assemble small components with basic hand tools and jig.
• Follow PPE guidelines and keep a clean, safe work area.
