Job summary

Cranswick plc is seeking a Poultry Handler to join a mobile team travelling to poultry farms across East Anglia and beyond. Your main duties include catching live birds, loading them safely into the modular catching system, and maintaining high welfare and hygiene standards.

You will work varied hours, Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays, and may access a bonus scheme that rewards attendance and performance. Full training provided.

Crown Farms forms part of the hugely successful Cranswick Plc.

As a Poultry Handler you’ll work as part of a team travelling to a number of poultry farms on a daily basis and your main job will be catching live birds and loading them safely into the modular catching system.

You will be working at various locations within East Anglia and possible other locations further afield.

Main duties include:

• Prioritising and working to strict welfare standards
• Catching and loading birds into module drawers
• Accurate record keeping
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times

Desired skills

• It is desirable that you have previous catching experience
• You will have good knowledge/understanding of animal welfare
• To be flexible with working hours and able to work as a team
• Good communication skills
• To be physically fit

£724.47 basic weekly salary + various bonus system increasing to £771.52 after probation

Hours are varied Monday to Friday and every other Saturday
