Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Hanger/EV Operative to join our production team. You will place chickens onto shackles that rotate on a conveyor, and rotate across other EV duties as required.

This is a labour-intensive, fast-paced role with full training provided. The position offers a 4 days per week pattern on a 3-week rotating shift and a rate of £17.50 per hour (plus a £1 per hour attendance/efficiency bonus).

Qualifications

• Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
• Enjoy working to targets in a fast paced environment.
• Possess high standards of work.
• Have a basic level of written and verbal English.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Experience in the food production industry is welcome but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Place chickens onto shackles on a conveyor in a fast-paced production environment.
• Work as part of a small team to ensure all shackles are filled.
• Rotate across duties in the EV department as required.
• Support with general production tasks such as offal packing and grading when needed.

Job requirements of a Hanger/EV Operative

We are looking for a hanger to join our established team here at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for working as part of a small team. Placing chickens onto shackles that rotate around a conveyor ready for the next stage of the process. You will also rotate across other duties across the EV department.

We are also open to applications from candidates who are already within the UK and who require sponsorship, provided you have demonstrable relevant experience.

Shift Pattern – 4 days a week on a 3 week rotating shift pattern 3:30-14:00

Duties

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment in a timely manner
• Working closely with your team to ensure all shackles are filled
• This is a labour-intensive role and physically demanding as you will be standing for long periods of time
• . To support with the general production of our chicken products, duties will include but are not limited to; offal packing, grading of organs and more when off rotation as a hanger.

What you will need

• Ideally have experience of working within the food production industry, however this is not necessary as full training will be provided
