Job summary

James Hall & Co. Ltd. is recruiting a permanent Kitchen Porter for the Kettle House in Preston. You will wash pots, pans and kitchenware, operate the dishwasher and help keep the work areas clean and hygienic.

The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.00am–2.30pm. You will support the kitchen team, follow hygiene and safety procedures, and complete mandatory training to ensure smooth service for staff and visitors.

About the Role

The Kettle House is our busy in-house canteen, serving our employees and visitors as well as providing catering for hospitality events.

What will I be doing?

• Washing pots, pans, utensils, crockery and kitchen equipment.
• Operating the commercial dishwasher and pot-washing equipment.
• Keeping the pot-wash and kitchen areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Ensuring clean equipment is returned to the correct storage areas.
• Supporting the kitchen team with general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Following food hygiene, health & safety, COSHH and company procedures.
• Completing relevant company training.
