Job summary

Royal Mail in Uckfield is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract (9 months). You'll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, work outdoors in all weather, and connect with customers on your route.

This role covers a 30-hour week on a rotating shift, 5 days from Monday to Sunday, with some Sundays at Tonbridge. Full training and a uniform are provided, and overtime is paid.

Working hours: 30:00hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 10:00/16:00*

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
