Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver at the North Shields Delivery Office on a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role is 29 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with weekend shifts and Sunday hours from 11:00 to 17:00.

You will deliver parcels, pre-plan your workload, and use route-planning tools to reach customers on time, acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail while delivering outstanding service.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
