Job summary

Lancaster University is seeking a Learning Developer to join the Library-led team supporting postgraduate students in LUMS. You will lead learning development, collaborate with faculty, and deliver in-person and online appointments and workshops.

The role focuses on creating interactive online resources, managing the Academic Writing Zone mentoring scheme, and responding to diverse student needs with flexible, collegial support.

Qualifications

• Masters-level qualification in a relevant field.
• Experience teaching academic skills in higher education.
• Teaching qualification.
• Knowledge of postgraduate writing challenges.
• Experience delivering online teaching using Microsoft Teams and other digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning development support for postgraduate students in LUMS.
• Collaborate with faculty staff on bespoke teaching of academic skills.
• Provide in-person and online one-to-one appointments and workshops.
• Create interactive online learning resources.
