Job summary
Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking a Post Doctoral Research Associate in Viral Immunology to join a new research group investigating canine enteric coronavirus (CECoV). The role lead experiments on antibody responses, viral entry, and evolution, with opportunities to contribute to experimental design and data interpretation.
The appointment provides a platform for developing scientific independence and leadership within infectious disease research, funded by a BBSRC New
Qualifications
- PhD/DPhil in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology techniques.
- Hands-on flow cytometry and serology experience.
- Experience with bioinformatic pipelines and scripting.
- Strong publication record preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead primary research designing and conducting experiments.
- Develop and optimise laboratory methodologies.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems independently.
- Generate and analyse high-quality datasets and interpret results.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of a Research Technician.
- Prepare reports, presentations and manuscripts.
