Job summary

University of Oxford invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Professor James Durrant in the Department of Chemistry. The role focuses on transient optical spectroscopy of temperature dependent photocatalysts within a UKRI-funded project.

The successful candidate will develop and investigate (photo)catalytic systems, contribute to structure–activity relationships, and participate in publications and external collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Physics or related area (or near completion).
• Expertise in development/investigation of (photo)catalytic systems under realistic operating conditions.
• Experience in fabrication of relevant photocatalysts is essential.
• Strong publication record or papers in press demonstrating research achievements.

Responsibilities

• Undertake experimental research on photocatalytic systems and operando characterization.
• Analyse research findings and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
• Support supervision of research students and contribute to research proposals.
• Assist with external collaborations and dissemination of knowledge.
