Job summary

The University of Southampton is offering a 14-month, full-time position in time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy within the Chemistry and Engineering research community. The project involves UV/IR probes, XUV collaboration with Artemis and ELI-Beamlines, and leadership of advanced experiments.

You will coordinate data analysis with theorists and drive interpretation, with a PhD (or near completion) in Physical Chemistry or Chemical Physics and strong ultrafast laser expertise expected.

Qualifications

• PhD (or within six months of completion) in Physical Chemistry or Chemical Physics.
• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of ultrafast laser technology and spectroscopy.
• Experience leading advanced photoelectron spectroscopy experiments and coordinating data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy experiments as part of a collaborative team.
• Coordinate analysis of experimental data with theoretical colleagues and external facilities.
