University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science seeks a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Computing Infrastructure group in Oxford. The project focuses on sustainable computer networks and carbon-aware telemetry.

You will contribute to designing, implementing and evaluating system components and collaborate with project partners; a PhD is required and the role offers generous leave and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (with potential underfill at Grade 6).
• Established knowledge in wired computer networks and sustainable computing.
• Significant coding experience in Python and C/C++ or P4.
• Experience in a Linux environment and related scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate components of the system.
• Coordinate and integrate with project partners in the UKRI EPSRC–NSF CBET project.
