Job summary

The University of Oxford invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Sonochemical Reaction Engineering and Sono-Catalysis. Based in the Department of Engineering Science, you will join the Physical Acoustics Group at Begbroke and contribute to the EPSRC SOUNDCHEM programme.

You should hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline (or equivalent), with significant knowledge in sonochemistry, acoustics physics, and cavitation.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Significant knowledge in sonochemistry, acoustics physics and cavitation.
• Experience with analytical chemistry methods relevant to non-thermal chemistries.

Responsibilities

• Engage in experimentation and technology development to advance the research programme.
• Collaborate with external funding bodies and project partners across disciplines.
• Plan and manage a research project, including budgeting.
