Job summary

The University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science, invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Sonochemical Reaction Engineering and Sono-Catalysis to join the Physical Acoustics Group at Begbroke Science Park.

Funded by the EPSRC SOUNDCHEM Programme Grant, this 24-month fixed-term post may extend to 36 months. You will conduct experiments, develop technologies, and collaborate across chemistry and engineering with external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in catalysis and analytical chemistry methods.
• Knowledge of sonochemistry and cavitation preferred.
• Ability to plan and manage a research project and budget.
• Excellent teamwork and communication in cross-disciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Engage in experimentation and technology development to advance the research programme.
• Independently plan and manage a research project (including budget).
• Collaborate across the group and with external partners.
• Provide guidance on experimental protocols and techniques.
