Queen Mary University of London invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to study how the Type VI Secretion System enables Campylobacter jejuni to compete and interact with the host. The project blends molecular microbiology with advanced intestinal models, including organ-on-chip systems, to uncover virulence mechanisms in physiologically relevant settings.

Competenze

• PhD (or near completion) in Immunology, Infection Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
• Strong research experience in bacterial pathogenesis and host–pathogen interactions.
• Practical expertise in bacterial infection models and molecular microbiology techniques.
• Knowledge of innate immunity, microbial competition, virulence mechanisms.
