Job summary

University of Exeter is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Image Analyst) to join the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative within the Data Coordination Centre. The role is full-time and fixed-term, funded by the Medical Research Council until 28 February 2029, with a starting salary from £43,482 to £53,301 on Grade F.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in imaging data analysis and functional genomics.
• Ability to develop research objectives and secure funding.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse rich and diverse imaging datasets generated across the Initiative.
• Develop and apply new methods, implement innovative tools, and promote open science practices.
• Support researchers by providing computational analysis capabilities and reproducible workflows.
• Collaborate with leading scientists across disciplines and sectors.
• Lead and supervise project activities as required.
