Parcel Delivery Driver

Are you ready to make a difference? Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for temporary postal and delivery driver positions. If you have a passion for community service and enjoy being on the move, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Location: Kingsbridge

Shift: Working 5 days between Monday – Sunday. Please note this position involves weekend work and it is vital you can commit to this.

Hours: 37 hrs per week with varying start/finish times depending on site. 08:00-14:30.

Hourly Rate: £13.37 basic rate (additional rate for overtime)

About the role

You’ll start your day in the local delivery office, loading mail for your route, before setting out on foot or in a provided van to complete your parcel/mail round. You’ll be provided with a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures and to optimize your route, which usually takes around four hours.

About You

Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be comfortable working alone or as part of a team. You should have a strong sense of community and be interested in flexible working patterns.

You will deliver post/parcels come rain or shine, so enjoying outdoor activity regardless of weather is essential. If you like staying active, this job could be a good fit.

Some experience in a customer-facing role would be advantageous.

Requirements

• A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points. A clean licence is preferred.
• Right to work ID – Passport in current name or original birth certificate
• Proof of current home address – Bank statement or utility bill issued in the last three months
• Proof of NI number
