Job summary

Royal Mail Group in London is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9-month fixed term contract. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels, work a rotating 30-hour week, and join a team that serves the community.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence, be able to pass a driving assessment, and stay fit while walking long distances. The role is outdoors, with paid overtime, and benefits including holiday allowance and pension.

Location: Lambeth Delivery Office, SW8 4FA

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £16.24 per hour (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 30hours per week - working (5) days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 08:00/20:00

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work Sundays at (Labeth)Delivery Office.

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
