Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in London for a 9-month fixed-term contract. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, physical fitness to walk long distances, and the ability to work outdoors, including weekends.

You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, building strong relationships with customers across the local area. You'll be on a 30-hour, five-days-in-seven rota, with training provided and a uniform supplied.

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30 hrshours per week - working (5) days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 13:00/19:30

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at (Pensbury) Delivery Office.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
