Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Jedburgh is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including weekends. You will sort mail at the delivery office, drive a Royal Mail van, and walk routes to customers in your area.

The role is permanent, 30 hours per week, with a fixed hourly rate of £13.68 and paid overtime. Full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van are provided.

Working hours: 30:00hours per week - working 5days in 6 across Monday - Saturday - 10:00/16:30*

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
