Job summary

Royal Mail’s Hamilton Delivery Office is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, working 30 hours a week on a rotating shift, including weekends, in all weather.

Full training is provided, plus a uniform and a red Royal Mail van. You must hold a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points and be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 10:00/17:00*

What To Expect

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
