Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for Coldstream. You will deliver letters and parcels, sort at the delivery office, and work on a rotating schedule that includes weekends. Training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van are provided.

The role is physically demanding and outdoors, with a 30-hour week across five days in six, plus paid overtime where available. A full UK manual driving licence is required and you will pass a driving assessment.

Location: Coldstream Delivery Office, TD12 4EQ

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 6 across Monday - Saturday – 10:30/16:30*

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
