Job summary

Royal Mail in Dartford is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a permanent role with rotating shifts, delivering letters and parcels in the local area. Training will be provided, and a uniform plus red van are supplied. Expect outdoor work, a 37-hour week, and weekend rotations.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and pass a driving assessment. Excellent service and reliability are essential.

Location: Dartford Delivery Office, DA1 1AA

Job type: Permanent contract 6 months

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 37.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:00-15:00 or 13:00-21:00.

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
