Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 35:00 hours per week - working Monday to Saturday 6 day rotation with 1 rest day - 07:00 or 13:00/15:00 or 21:00*

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily
• Working in all weather conditions
• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
• Busy, time‑pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. you’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self‑motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer‑focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
