Job summary

Royal Mail in Bracknell is seeking a Postie to deliver letters and parcels. You will work 30 hours per week with a rotating schedule, including weekends, across Monday to Sunday, and use a Royal Mail van daily.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a guaranteed friendly, supportive team environment. This role is physically active and outdoors in all weather conditions, with opportunities to grow within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.

Job type: Permanent
Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:00/16:00*

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time‑pressured days, especially during peak periods

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self‑motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer‑focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
