Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver in Ashford to join Royal Mail’s delivery team on a temporary basis.

You will work 30 hours per week at £13.69 per hour, with shifts from 2:30pm to 8:30pm, Monday to Friday and weekend availability required. Deliveries are made on foot and by vehicle, loading at the local delivery office, using a handheld device for signatures, and navigating routes outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max preferred).
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
