Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in North Yorkshire on behalf of Royal Mail. This temporary role pays £13.69 per hour for 30 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and weekend availability.

Shifts run 14:00 to 20:00 from the Richmond office, with delivery duties across walking and vehicle routes. You will work outdoors, sort and load deliveries, and use a handheld device for signatures and navigation.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (minimum points: 0–6; clean licence preferred).
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

Job description

As a Postal Delivery Driver in North Yorkshire, you will manage deliveries from the Richmond office, sorting and loading mail before commencing your route. Working independently outdoors, you’ll use a handheld device for navigation and signatures, delivering letters and parcels by vehicle and on foot, covering up to eight miles daily. Physical fitness is essential, as you’ll regularly lift mail bags weighing 16kg and parcels up to 20kg. This temporary role offers £13.69 per hour for 30 weekly hours, scheduled between 14:00 and 20:00, Monday to Friday with weekend availability. Prior customer service experience is advantageous for this position.
