Job summary

Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers in Leicester. This casual, outdoor role starts immediately and offers 30 hours per week at £13.69 per hour with a 2pm–9pm shift and weekend availability.

You will sort and load deliveries at the office, use a handheld device, and deliver by foot or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily; lifting up to 16kg and 20kg parcels as required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• License held for at least 6 months.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use handheld device for signature capture and navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle; up to 8 miles walking per day.
• Lift mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg; use trolleys when needed.

• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

Requirements:

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
