Job summary

Pertemps, on behalf of Royal Mail, is recruiting Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers in Kingston Upon Thames. You will start from the local delivery office, load deliveries, and deliver letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle.

The role is temporary with a pay rate of £16.24 per hour, varied hours, and weekend work. Full UK manual driving licence required with up to 6 points; outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred).
• Licence held for at least 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required
