Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a delivery office team in Derwentside (DH8). You will load and sort mail, then drive a van to deliver letters and parcels to homes and businesses, using a handheld device to track progress and maintain schedules.

This temp role offers weekly pay and a potential path to permanent employment, with benefits including a pension scheme and wellbeing resources. You will work 2pm–8pm, 5 days from 7, in a supportive community setting.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence required with max 6 penalty points.
• Must have held licence for at least 6 months.
• Reliable, self-driven and team-spirited.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail at the local delivery office for your route.
• Deliver letters and parcels by van to homes and businesses.
• Use a handheld device to track deliveries and stay on schedule.
• Provide excellent service in all weather conditions.

Blue Arrow are actively seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a successful delivery office team in Derwentside (DH8). As a Postal Worker, you will be a vital part of the community, delivering letters and parcels, while being the friendly face that people look forward to seeing.

About the role

Our client is the leading provider of mail and parcel services across the UK. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and standards for the customers to ensure that they receive important correspondence and parcels come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing some part of the route on foot, ensuring that everything reaches it's destination safely.

Key information

• Pay rate: £13.69 p/h
• Hours: 2pm-8pm
• Days: 5 days from 7
• Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm

What You’ll Need:

• A full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• License held for minimum of 6 months

• Comfort working solo and outdoors in all weather.

• Basic DBS/PVG Check (Criminal Record Check - No cost, Blue Arrow will cover this)
