Pertemps Bond is recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Royal Mail in Bridgnorth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Begin shifts at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Deliver mail and parcels by vehicle and on foot; walk up to 8 miles daily.
• Use a handheld device to navigate routes and capture customer signatures.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg; use trolleys as needed.

Position: Postal Delivery Driver

Employment Type: Temporary, Up to 30 hours per week

Location: Bridgnorth

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility

Shifts: 8:30am - 8pm

Core Responsibilities

• Preparation: Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries.
• Distribution: Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Operations: Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
