Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Cranleigh to deliver letters and parcels from a Royal Mail van and on foot. You will work on a rotating shift, 37 hours per week, including some weekends, with 1 in 4 Sundays at Guilford Delivery Office.

Training, uniform, and a red van are provided. Key duties include sorting at the office, delivering locally, building customer relationships, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy outdoor environment.
• Strong organisation and resilience with good customer focus.

Job type: Permanentcontract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 37hours per week - working 5days in 6 across Monday - Saturday - 06:00/14:30*

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:
