An established industry player is seeking Postal Delivery Drivers in the Plymouth area. This ongoing role offers competitive pay and requires candidates to be available for 5 shifts a week, working 30-40 hours. Postal Delivery Drivers needed across the Plymouth area.
These locations are: Plymouth, Callington, Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Launceston, Redruth, St Austell, Tavistock, Truro, Wadebridge, West Park, Hayle and Looe.
Paying £13.37ph Monday to Saturday and £14.49ph Sundays for an ongoing role.
Availability will be needed for 5 shifts Monday to Sunday, working 30-40-hour weeks. A scheduled route and rota will be confirmed once the candidate has been placed.
Start Date- As soon as possible.
Responsibilities would include:
- Sorting mail for a route before taking the company van out for delivery.
- Delivering letters and parcels to people around the local area.
- Collecting parcels to return to the depot.
- Using an electronic system to organise parcels and collect customer signatures.
The ideal candidate would be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy working alone as well as working as part of a team. You will also need to have a strong sense of community, deliver parcels come rain or shine, and be physically suitable for the position.
Requirements for this role:
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Complete a basic DBS check conducted by Pertemps.
- Have held a full UK manual driving licence for at least 1 year.
- No more than six penalty points for minor endorsements.
- Some experience in a customer facing role (not essential).
