Self-employed Core Delivery Driver

As one of our Self-Employed Core Delivery Drivers, you'll enjoy freedom, flexibility, and better financial rewards, along with all the support and benefits of being part of our wider Yodel team. No experience is necessary, and the more you deliver, the more you earn.

• Competitive rates for each parcel you deliver or collect: Typically, our Delivery Drivers can earn between £18 - £20 per hour (paid per parcel). We are committed to delivering promises, not just parcels, and we enhance our rates considering business mileage and operational costs. This is a real gamechanger.
• Daily & Weekly Payment Options: We offer flexible payment options, allowing you to access earnings from the next day via an app provided by our early access partner, Onsi, or join the weekly payment cycle after 4 weeks of completed deliveries. Both options provide more regular payments for your services.
• Plenty of parcels to deliver: There are ample parcels to keep your earnings in your hands. Parcels weigh up to 15kg and vary in size. You can realistically deliver and collect between 16-25 parcels an hour, depending on the area and your experience, over 6 days a week. The more you deliver, the more you earn.
• Freedom and flexibility: Plan your own route or use our award-winning app with simple instructions and built-in optimisation to help you plan routes and liaise directly with customers.
• Regular work in the same area: We deliver for some of the biggest retailers, ensuring a steady flow of parcels. You'll stay local, familiar with the roads and customers.
• Development and support: Enjoy the independence of being self-employed with backing from our expert team and access to a Yodel representative for support.

The Life of a Core Delivery Driver

Each day is what you make it. You can plan your route to keep things fresh. Use your mobile to scan parcels and confirm safe delivery. We arrange a suitable collection time for your parcels, with options for rural areas to have parcels dropped to you.

Requirements

No experience necessary! We provide full training and support. To get started, you need:

• Access to insured car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes)
• A full UK or EC/EEA Driving Licence
