Parcel Delivery Driver

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for temporary postal and delivery driver positions. If you have a passion for community service and love being on the move, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Details

• Location: Falmouth
• Shift: Working 5 days between Monday – Sunday. Please note this position involves weekend working and it’s vital you can commit to this.
• Hours: 35 hrs per week with varying start/finish times depending on site. 07:30-15:30
• Hourly Rate: £13.37 basic rate (additional rate for overtime)

About the role

You’ll start your day in the local delivery office, loading the mail for your route, then set out on foot or in a provided van to complete your parcel/mail round. You’ll be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures and to help plan the most economical route. Each round usually takes around four hours.

About You

Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be comfortable working alone or as part of a team. You should have a strong sense of community, enjoy flexible working patterns, and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Some experience in a customer-facing role is ideal.

Requirements

• A full UK manual driving licence in your current UK address, with no more than six penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Right to work ID – Passport in current name or original birth certificate
• Proof of current home address – Bank statement or utility bill issued in the last three months
• Proof of NI number
