Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Newbury is seeking a Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. You will start each day at the delivery office, load your vehicle, and deliver letters and parcels by foot and by vehicle as part of a multi-drop route.

You will use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures, lift and carry mailbags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, and work outdoors in varying weather, with a Monday to Friday schedule and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum of 6 points)
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
• Previous driving/delivering experience is a bonus, not required

Responsibilities

• Load & Go: start your day by loading the vehicle at the local delivery office
• On the Move: deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day
• Tech-Savvy Delivery: use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures
• Hands-On Work: lift and carry mailbags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg

Job Title: Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver

Location: Newbury

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Hours: 35 hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Friday (with weekend availability required)

Shifts: 13:00pm - 19:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Load & Go: Start your day at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle.


• On the Move: Deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day.


• Tech-Savvy Delivery: Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures.


• Hands-On Work: Lift and carry mailbags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg), using delivery trolleys when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• A full UK manual driving licence (maximum of 6 points; clean preferred).


• Comfortable working outdoors through rain, shine, or snow.


• Excellent time management and customer service skills.


• Previous Driving/ Delivering experience would great (but isn’t essential!)
