Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail in Glasgow is hiring a Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver. You will start at the local delivery office and load your vehicle, then deliver letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle, with occasional walking up to 8 miles.

The role uses a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures, and involves lifting mailbags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg. Pay is £15.06 per hour, with up to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Driving/delivering experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

• Load & Go: Start your day at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle.
• On the Move: Deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day.
• Tech-Savvy Delivery: Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures.
• Hands-On Work: Lift and carry mailbags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg), using delivery trolleys when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• A full UK manual driving licence (maximum of 6 points; clean preferred).
• Comfortable working outdoors through rain, shine, or snow.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Previous Driving/ Delivering experience would great (but isn't essential!).
