Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Leicester is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed term 9-month contract. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area, working 30 hours per week on a rotating 5-in-7 schedule, including weekends, with overtime opportunities.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points), be physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags, and be reliable with good organisation.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 30:00 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 08:30/20:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Leicester MPUDelivery Office.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
